<p>PURPOSE: To provide information on the rotation position of a digitizer needle by providing a second source coil and a first source coil so that they make a right angle. CONSTITUTION: Rotational data transmission coils 10 and 14 and a position data transmission coil 16 are fitted to the main body of the digitizer needle 24. The second source coil 14 is placed so that it crosses the first coil 10 in such a way that it makes the right angle with the first source coil 10. The transmission coils 10, 14 and 16 are sequentially driven by AC current, A received signal from the table coil 12 of a digitizer 26 contains phase/amplitude information and it is used for giving raw data to a computer. Then, the measurement of the position, the rotation and the inclination of the needle 24 are pulled out from raw data. Thus, the detection of rotation can be incorporated in a converter.</p> |
