PURPOSE:To make abnormal voice encoding recognizable even on a transmitting side by outputting an alarm sound from a transmitting section when the abnormality occurs in the operation of an encoding circuit. CONSTITUTION:Outputted encoded data 11 are transmitted to a receiving section and, at the same time, inputted to a decoding circuit 2 incorporated in a transmitting section, where the encoded data are converted into PCM data. A conversion circuit 3 inputs the decoded PCM data 12. On the other hand, a delay circuit 4 inputs voice signals 10 inputted to the transmitting section to a conversion circuit 5 after delaying the signals by fixed time and a discrimination circuit 6 discriminates whether or not the voice power calculated by the circuit 3 coincides with that calculated by the circuit 5. When they do not coincide with each other, a ROM readout circuit 8 reads out alarm sound data 13 from a ROM 7 and outputs the data 13 to the receiving section through a switching circuit 9. Therefore, abnormality of a voice encoding circuit can be detected at the transmitting side also. |
