<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of the title device in the nonoperating state by setting the output circuit of the device which is coupled with an external terminal and to which a relatively large current is to be made to flow to a high-impedance state in output when the nonoperating state starts. CONSTITUTION:This semiconductor integrated circuit device is set to an operating state in accordance with the operation mode. Namely, the device has two outputting functions corresponding to the display by means of CRT color display and the display by means of a panel display and a selector SEL transmits color data from a pallet memory PLM to D/A conversion circuits DAC1-DAC3 and a digital output circuit DOB in accordance with the display operating mode. When the semiconductor integrated circuit device is set to a nonoperating state, at least the output circuit coupled with an external terminal is set to a high- output impedance state so that the output circuit to which a relatively large current is to be made to flow is set to a high-impedance state in output. Therefore, the power consumption of the semiconductor integrated circuit device is reduced while the device is in the nonoperating state.</p> |
