<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of ground or grass in a gold course by burying ferrous materials consisting of ferromagnetic bodies in the ground toward the running direction of a cart in parallel and at an optional width, magnetically sensing the buried materials and steering the cart in an S-shape or in zigzags with respect to the running direction. CONSTITUTION:In the course of the gold course, sensing lines 2 and 2' generated by burying the ferrous materials 1 consisting of the ferromagnetic bodies in the ground at adaquate intervals and in an adaquate depth are faced to the running direction, and they are provided in parallel with the adaquate width so as to constitute a travel road 3. The cart 4 is caused to advance in the travel road 3. Sensing means such as magnetic sensors 5 and 5' are provide din the cart 4. When the sensing means 5 and 5' in the cart 4 approach either of the lines 2 and 2' and sense the line 2, the cart 4 is automatically steered to the other line 2, and advance is proceeded. Automatic travel is attained in the S-shape or in zigzags in the travel road 3 by repeating said operation. Thus, the damage of the ground and grass can considerably be reduced.</p> |
