PURPOSE: To provide a single frequency unidirectivity ring laser which enables instantaneous synchronization by composing the unidirectivity ring laser at least of two components. CONSTITUTION: A unidirectivity ring laser is composed at least of two components 1 and 2. For instance, the component 1 is formed of a lasing material, and the component 2 is permitted to function as a quasi-planar reflection prism. A space 3 exists between the component 1 and the component 2, and a ring cavity is formed of the component 1, component 2 and the space 3. Planes 3-1 and 3-2 adjacent to the space 3 are polished to function as a partial polarizer of beams which pass through the laser cavity. The plane 4 of the component 1 functions as an output mirror of the ring laser. Then, energy from a pumping source is applied as beams 5, and output laser beams are supplied along a line 6. Magnetic field H is applied to the component 1. |
