<p>PURPOSE:To simply an electric power feeding system by a method wherein the frequency is detected of the output yielded by an AC synchronous generator driven by the propulsion machinery and the generator is so regulated that predetermined relations are maintained between frequency and voltage. CONSTITUTION:Propulsion machine 2 drives a fixed-pitch propeller 1 propelling a container ship and an AC synchronous generator 4 via gearing. The frequency of the current fed to a load-dispatching board 9 for a freezer container is detected, and an automatic voltage regulator 6 so regulates the generator output voltage that the container rated voltage at 50Hz is maintained when the frequency is anywhere between the frequency corresponding to the minimum propeller rotating speed and 50Hz, that the voltage rises in proportion to an increase in frequency when the frequency is anywhere between 50 through 60Hz, and that the container rated voltage at 60Hz is maintained when the frequency is anywhere between 60Hz and the frequency corresponding to the maximum propeller rotating speed. Accordingly, a constant frequency conversion unit is eliminated, which simplifies a great deal the subject system.</p> |
