This invention relates to an arrangement for making shifting easier in a manual gearbox, to which the arrangement is coupled for manoeuvring the gearstick of the gearbox for the purpose of engaging the selected gear in the gearbox. The shifting arrangement according to this invention comprises a side-position cylinder 2 for setting the intended side position for the gear selected, and also a piston rod 5 in a gear-position cylinder 4, which rod is displaceable at right angles in relation to the piston rod 3 of the side-position cylinder, for engaging the selected gear in the gearbox 1 by pivoting the gearstick of the gearbox in one direction or the other, in addition to which members are arranged so as to prevent movement of said piston rods until declutching has taken place and the return of the clutch to the biting point until the gear is engaged in the gearbox. <IMAGE> |
