PURPOSE:To permit a developed-constituent secondary-light measuring densitometer having a simpler constitution to perform a highly sensitive measurement for a long time by allowing the spectrum dispersion directions of the excitation-side and emission-side spectroscopes to be parallel with the moving direction of the object being measured. CONSTITUTION:An excitation-side spectroscope 2 and an emission-side spectroscope 5 have oblong light-inlet slits 3 and 6 and light-outlet slits 4 and 7 respectively, and plane diffraction gratings 13 and 14 have lateral ruled lines and rotation axes. Thus, when a high-luminance continuous wavelength light from a light source 1 such as a xenon lamp is applied through the excitation-side spectroscope 2 and a slit plate 11 to a test tube 9, the sample constituent layer horizontally developed is excited by a large quantity of excitation light as well as the secondary light generated by the sample constituent layer is efficiently introduced to a sensor 8, so that a highly sensitive measurement is made possible for a long time without the need for using a complex reflection optical system. |
