PURPOSE:To simply perform the quantitative analysis of angiotensin, by applying an angiotensin containing specimen to column chromatography to obtain a fraction having holding capacity equal to that obtained by a standard reagent and applying this fraction to radio immunoassay. CONSTITUTION:A standard reagent angiotensin - containing solution is separated by column chromatography using a silica gel type packing agent having a carboxy ethylene group as an exchange group and an elution solvent based on water (e.g., a phosphate buffer solution) and the holding capacity or holding time thereof is measured. Subsequently, a specimen containing a minute amount of angiotensin is applied to the column chromatography under the same condition to obtain a fraction having holding capacity or holding time equal to that obtained by the column chromatography of the standard reagent. This fraction is applied to radio immunoassay to quantitatively measure the quantity of angiotensin in the specimen. |
