PURPOSE:To automatically enable the individual number code of a storage part to be rewritten by a receiver, to heighten efficiency in the rewriting work of the individual number code, and to miniaturize the receiver by sending a specific number instead of the individual number code from transmission equipment for rewrite or a base station, and sending a new individual number code following the specific number. CONSTITUTION:An individual number rewriting device inputs the specific number and a new individual number to be rewritten by a code generator 10, and encodes those numbers by a code transmitter 11, and sends them by radio. At a selective calling receiver, after a specific number code and the individual number code are received and demodulated at a radio circuit 2 and a demodulation circuit 3, the specific number code is collated with the specific number code stored in a specific number storage part 42 in advance at a code collation part 41 in a control part 40. When the number code is detected as the specific number code, an individual number rewrite control circuit 43 is driven by outputting the detecting signal of the specific number code from the code collation circuit 41, and the individual number code stored in an individual number storage part 50 consisting of an electrically reloadable ROM is rewritten to the new individual number code received following the specific number. |
