The device for wedging the object 1 comprises a rigid frame 2 delimiting a space intended to receive the object. This space comprises a first series of straps 3, intended to support the object or objects, which are substantially parallel and whose opposite ends 3a, 3b are connected to two supports 4a, 4b of the frame 2, located on either side of the said space, and a second series of substantially parallel straps 5 which are perpendicular to the first series, intended to cover the object or objects and whose opposite ends 5a, 5b are connected to opposite parts 13a, 13b of the frame 2 located on either side of the said space, each strap 3, 5 being provided close to its end with means 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b for adjusting the length and tension of the strap.
