The part circuit used for charging the boot-strap capacitor (C2) is active alternately with the part circuit(s) controlling the condition of the main circuit diode (T1), and is active when the controllable diode is inactive. At least one of the part circuits incorporates two further controllable control circuit diodes (T3,T4). The part circuit controlling the main circuit diode comprises a control transistor (T3) which adopts one of two conditions when the first diode is activated, and the second of the two conditions when the diode is inactivated. The part circuit for charging the boot-strap capacitor comprises a second control transistor (T4) which adopts one of two conditions when the first diode is activated, and the second of these conditions when the main diode is inactivated.
