Balance for high tare loads

The invention relates to a balance for high tare loads having a lever system suitable for the taring, to which a display device is assigned. The essential feature of the invention consists in the fact that, deviating from known taring methods, a system engaging as closely as possible to the balance bridge or directly on the balance bridge is provided for the taring according to the invention. The taring is carried out by means of a tare weight applied on a lever or by means of second weighing system for the tare weight. The advantages achieved with the invention consist especially in that the lever, bearing and knife edge of the lever mechanism are relieved of the high tare weight as far as the weighing-out device, wear and loading of the lever mechanism are reduced, a significantly smaller weighing region is sufficient and the measuring accuracy is improved.
