Compounds having plant fungicidal or plant growth regulating activity of the general formula (I): <IMAGE> wherein R is phenyl, or phenyl optionally substituted with any of halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, nitro, halomethylenedioxy, amino, mono- or di-alkylamino, hydroxy, morpholino, alkylcarbonyl, or optionally halogen substituted phenyl, phenoxy, benzyl or benzyloxy; R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, trialkylsilyl; R<4> is hydrogen or alkyl; provided that R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are not all hydrogen and that when R<1> and R<2> are both hydrogen then R<3> is not alkyl; R<5> is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, optionally substituted benzyl or alkylcarbonyl; and acid addition salts and metal complexes thereof; and stereoisomers thereof.
