A graphics processing system has a control module and processor accessed by a keyboard to allow document data to be stored in a memory and then displayed while the format is manipulated. The system memory is divided into a main memory that holds the control programme, a page memory (42). The display memory is divided into sections (42a,42b,42c) used during the modification of display data, e.g. expansion, reduction, rotation etc. The memory has a coupled address circuit (44) and an expansion/reduction controlJ-circuit (46).
