<p>A systematic and accurate method for mapping or locating the genomic regions or subregions containing polygenic factors which control a quantitatively inherited trait or traits of interest. The present method, which can be applied to higher plants and animals, makes it possible to determine with a high degree of accuracy that a quantitative trait loci (QTL) lies within a genomic region or subregion bounded by selected genetic markers.</p> |
