<p>This invention relates to a scintillator which emits light by radiation and more particularly to a scintillator which can reversibly select a solid phase and a liquid phase through temperature control. This scintillator comprises a phosphor for converting radiation energy to optical energy, a solvant for transmitting energy of the radiation to the phosphor, dissolving the phosphor and a radioactive material as the object of measurement and diffusing and homogenizing them, and an immobilizing material capable of immobilizing the solvent, the phosphor and the radioactive material in a solid state and liquefying them by heating to thereby cause reversible phase change.</p> |
