In the case of a method for producing a parachute with a high level of dimensional accuracy from fabric blanks, at least one fabric part of which is composed of a melt-resistant material, in order to achieve attachment of the fabric blanks before they are sewn together, at least one fabric part is provided with an adhesive layer, after which process the fabric parts are joint on top of one another in such a way that they fit accurately together and are sewn together in the preliminary configuration in which they are placed by means of the active layer of adhesives.
