In order to ensure the use of smooth-barrel technology in battle tanks which are equipped with weapon systems for rifled projectiles, and thus to enhance the firing performance, it is provided for a trunnion bearing to be provided for the respective tank turret, by means of which, for example, a 105 mm weapon system provided with rifling can be replaced by a 120 mm smooth-barrelled weapon system without any additional means or, alternatively, use of either the 120 mm weapon system or the 105 mm weapon system is possible. In this case, it is intended to take account of the different firing heights of weapon barrels' different calibre and adequate free movement in the armoured vehicle during rotation of the turret. The invention provides that the common centre axis (10) of the trunnion (4) of the radial bearing which holds the respective trunnion (4), of the axial bearing and of the threaded ring (9) with respect to the axis of symmetry (11) of the external contour (12) of the associated bearing housing (5.1) is arranged offset by the distance (a) in height. With the same turret mouth machining of armoured vehicles of different size, the bearing housings (5.1) can be interchanged with one another in a simple manner, as a result of which height adjustment of the trunnion axis (10) and, coupled thereto, of the barrel bore axis, is possible without additional means. <IMAGE>
