This invention relates to a heat-resistant composition which exhibits excellent resistance to both heat and abrasion after being cured and which is composed of a powdery mixture comprising at least 20 % by weight of zirconium oxide, 1 to 10 % by weight of sodium aluminate, 2 to 15 % by weight based on zirconium oxide of yttria, and the balance of silica and sodium silicate containing a small amount of water. This composition has better mold release property and durability than those of the conventional one and gives a cured film having a more excellent stability than that of the conventional adhesives of this type.
