Method of fabricating longitudinally seam-welded pipes

In a method of fabricating longitudinally seam-welded pipes from a strip which is continuously formed into a slotted pipe and is welded at its strip edges in a welding device, the welded pipe is reduced in outside diameter by a die. The position of the weld is sensed by means of a sensor, and the die is rotated if the weld deviates from the desired position.
