摘要 Air is inducted into the system by means of pneumatic cylinders and compressed for propulsion into a frozen wall (2). The air flows at different temp. through cooling tubes filled, e.g. with N2, so that it is cooled to the temp. of condensation of N2 and O2 for fractionation at low pressure. The wall (2) is isolated from the storage space (1). The air is transferred selectively to the fractionation column (3) for decompsn. at initial pressures up to 6 atmos. The superconducting generator is driven by a N2 gas turbine (4). USE/ADVANTAGE - In automated underground car parks. Temp. in wall can be maintained at its lowest level with less cost to satisfy peak current demands of rush-hour traffic.
