<p>A computer element performance enhancer (10) having a peltier device (32) providing cooling to the critical computer elements (22, 24, 26) of a desk top computer. A peltier device controller (50) regulates the flow of power to the peltier device (32) such that the critical computer elements (22, 24, 26) are maintained in a below ambient temperature range. An adjustable power supply (71, 72) is connected to and supplies power to the critical computer elements (22, 24, 26). A power supply controller (70) regulates the adjustable power supply (71, 72) such that a local voltage at the critical computer elements (22, 24, 26) is maintained at a precision high voltage range. A dual speed clock generator (122) is connected to the critical computer elements (22, 24, 26) and runs the critical computer elements (22, 24, 26) at a higher rate of speed when the critical computer elements (22, 24, 26) are within the prescribed temperature and voltage ranges.</p> |
