<p>4,4'-Bis(methacryloylthio)diphenyl sulfide represented by formula (I) and two curable compositions containing same are disclosed. One composition comprises (A) the sulfide of formula (I) and (B) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of other vinyl monomers (i) copolymerizable with the sulfide of formula (I) and polythiols (ii) represented by the formula (II): R-(SH)n (wherein R represents a polyvalent organic group, and n represents an integer of 2 or more). Another curable composition comprises (A) a prepolymer having a polythioether skeleton and being obtained by the addition reaction between the sulfide of formula (I) and polythiols (ii) of formula (II), and (B) other vinyl monomer (i) copolymerizable with the sulfide of formula (I).</p> |
