PURPOSE:To hold pressure contacting force to the suitable value and to smoothen movement of a sliding gate by arranging the sliding gate at between a tundish and a mold and providing connecting mechanism pushing jointing surface between the sliding gate and connecting tube. CONSTITUTION:The pressure contacting forces of the sliding plate 13 to sliding contact plates 14, 15, respectively are almost equalized, and these pressure contacting forces are the sum of the pressure contacting force, which the connecting tube is pushed to the sliding contact plate 15, and spring force with springs 66, 67. This summed value is selected to value, by which vertical movement of the sliding plate 13 can be smoothly executed and plate-like body 45 of the sliding plate 13 and the sliding contact plates 14, 15 do not crush and wear too much and the molten steel does not leak from the sliding surfaces between the sliding plate 13 and the sliding contact plates 14, 15. A detector being possible to sense working force to the axial direction is arranged on a connecting rod to control supplying pressure in a cylinder for connecting, and the pushing forces at the sliding surface of the sliding gate and joint surface between the sliding gate and the connecting tube are held to the constant. |
