PURPOSE:To execute the molecule orientation processing of a liquid crystal display panel surface by sweeping a surface acoustic wave with apply of an ultrasonic wave on the liquid crystal display panel. CONSTITUTION:Onto the surface of a glass substrate 1, for the ultrasonic waves with wavelengths W1 and W2, the ultrasonic wave of the wavelength of 2 is impressed from a first wedge 2 and a second wedge 3 or one wedge, the interference wave of a surface acoustic wave is swept in one direction, and it is absorbed to an absorbent 5 made of silicon grease, etc. By impressing and sweeping the intensity of the surface acoustic wave 4 at the intensity equal to the destructive intensity or below of the glass substrate 1, the orientation of the molecule of the surface of the glass substrate 1 can be obtained. Thus, the orientation processing of the liquid crystal molecule without a defect due to the dust, etc., can be executed. |
