<p>PURPOSE: To apply an adapter sleeve to many pipelines having different diameters by providing a flange adapted to biting of a connection part of a cold forging tool and other pipeline sections. CONSTITUTION: A broken part of a sea bottom pipeline is removed, and ends of the remaining pipelines are aligned for cold forging. Next, a tubular main body and an adapter sleeve 14 having a flange around the end of the pipeline are arranged fixedly. At this time, the flange of this sleeve 16 is larger than a flange connected with a pipeline having a dimension of the tubular main body of the adapter sleeve 14 normally and has a dimension different from the dimension. After this, the ends are cold-forged to each of their adapter sleeves 14, and a part of the pipeline having a flange for connecting the adapter sleeve to the flange is connected with a pipeline part between end flanges to complete the connection between the ends of the pipelines.</p> |
