<p>The present invention relates to the drying and the grinding of wet materials, for example of one or more raw materials for the manufacture of a cement clinker and, more particularly, the processes and equipment using, for these operations, a rotary tubular ball mill divided into several chambers and equipped with an inlet at each of its ends and peripheral discharge orifices located between the coarse- grinding and fine-grinding chambers. With a view to reducing the specific consumption and to increasing, for a given dimensioning of the tubular mill, the capacity of the equipment of the type described hereinabove, the dried and partially ground product emerging from the coarse-grinding chamber (20) is subjected to grinding by crushing in a forced-feed roll mill (12) and at least a fraction of the product emerging from the said roll mill is introduced into the fine-grinding chamber (22) of the tubular mill (10), the product emerging from this latter chamber being conveyed into a classifier (14). <IMAGE></p> |
