A first cable 27 is moored to a float 11 or 12 or 24, by means of a harpoon 26, and is then pulled to bring the float 11, 12, 24 integral with a floating structure eg. a platform 1. The float is moored to a support 23 on the structure 1. Associated with the float is an arm (50, Fig 6) which is fixed to a flexible line 20 and attached to a second cable (52, Fig. 6). The arm (50) and the flexible line 20 are brought into a position permitting connection to a conduit 21 by means of the second cable (52).
