<p>Process for determining the direction and the way of arrival of an electromagnetic pulse and appliance for using the process. The calculation of the arrival angle of the wave is effected over several points of the pulse, certain of these points being situated more particularly on the leading-edge of the pulse. A first average value theta m of the arrival angle is determined with the aid of these points situated on the leading-edge, the angles calculated next from other points are compared to theta m and a new average, integrating these angles, is effected if the absolute value of the difference between these angles and theta m is less than a value PR defining the accuracy of the calculation.
