<p>PURPOSE:To prepare the titled feed capable of preventing the inactivation of immunoglobulin A contained in a cow's colostrum, by mixing a powdery or liquid feed raw material with a high proteinic content at a neutral pH with the cow's colostrum, and drying the resultant mixture under heating. CONSTITUTION:A cow's colostrum milked within 5 days after the delivery is mixed with 2.5-35% powdery or liquid raw material for a feed, e.g. soybean protein powder, with a high proteinic content at about neutral pH, and the resultant mixture is then dried at a material temperature of 75 deg.C or below. Thus, about 70-90% immunoglbulin A in the cow's colostrum remains, and the feed is effectively usable for preventing the diseases of young pigs and calves soon after the birth.</p> |
