<p>PURPOSE:To prevent sludge from being stuck and precipitated and to effectively execute disinfection with digestion for fermentation raw materials by allowing the fermentation raw materials to flow into the internal part of a porous tube and supplying steam from the external part of the tube. CONSTITUTION:A digesting device is composed of a porous tube 1 and an outer cylindrical tube 2, which surrounds the porous tube 1, and a steam room 3 is provided between the porous tube 1 and outer cylindrical tube 2. The material, hole diameter and shape of the porous tube 1 are not especially limited. However, it is convenient to use the corrosion resistance, for example, stainless-made porous tube, for which the hole diameter is normally 0.5-5mm, preferably 1-3mm. The fermentation raw materials are sent from one side of the porous tube 1 and low pressure steam is sent into the steam room 3. In such a case, steam pressure P<2> in the steam room 3 is set higher to pressure P<1> of the fermentation raw materials in the porous tube 1 and the porous tube 1 is set to a length, which is needed to have a fixed residence time.</p> |
