<p>PURPOSE: To eliminate all operations that are generated between a light source and a light reception device and affect two optical waveguide bodies differently by providing a container for housing the contact part of two optical waveguide bodies as a connecting device. CONSTITUTION: Optical waveguide bodies 3 and 4 are fixed in a container 5 as a connecting device 1. When stress or pressure is operated, the optical waveguide bodies 3 and 4 contact each other in a contact region and the contact region increases. Then, a light transmitter 6 sends first light via the optical waveguide body 3 and second light via the optical waveguide body 4. One portion of the first light is connected to the optical waveguide body 4 in the connecting device 1 and one portion of the second light is connected to the optical waveguide body 3. Light component staying in the optical waveguide bodies 3 and 4 and light component connected to the optical waveguide bodies 4 and 3 are supplied to a light reception device 7. The light reception device 7 converts the light components to electrical signals and supply them to an electrical evaluation circuit 8.</p> |
