PURPOSE:To shorten an inspection period eliminating work of removing a biological shield by taking a guide rail out of a body suspended into a nuclear reactor pressure vessel by a remote control to perform an inspection from inside the reactor with the movement of an inspection device along the rail. CONSTITUTION:An inspection device body 5 is hoisted down between a nuclear reactor pressure vessel RP, a shroud and a jet pump with a rope 7. Then, a guide rail 6 is taken out of the body 5 to be held horizontally while additional switching action is made according to a relative position between an inspecting position and a block 11 having an ultrasonic probe 12. A mobile plate 21 is moved to adjust a height of the rail 6. Electromagnets 8, 9 and 10 are energized to be attracted on a wall surface of the RPV and the block 11 is moved along the rail 6 to perform an inspection. Thus, an inspection is accomplished from inside the reactor by a remote control to eliminate the need for work of removing a biological shield or the like, thereby enabling the shortening of an inspection period. |
