PURPOSE:To obtain the title high-permittivity barium titanate ceramic with reduced temp. change of the permittivity by using a heat-treated mixture of the compds. of Nb and Ba at the time of sintering the mixture obtained by adding a compd. consisting essentially of Nb and Mn to calcined BaTiO3 powder. CONSTITUTION:A compd. consisting essentially of Nb and Mn is added to precalcined BaTiO3 powder, and the mixture is sintered to produce a dielectric ceramics. In this case, Ba5Nb4O15 obtained by heat-treating a compd. consisting essentially of Ba and Nb as one kind of the compd. consisting essentially of Nb. When y mols of Nb2O5 expressed in terms of NbO5/2 and z mols of MnO2 are used with 100mols of Ba1+xTiO3+x, 0.25Y<=x<=1.5y is fulfilled, and a dielectric ceramics wherein the y and z are in the area enclosed with the A, B, C, D, and E in the table is produced. By this method, a dielectrics ceramics having 3000 permittivity, the temp. characteristic of permittivity fulfilling the YB characteristic of the JIS standard and the X7R characteristic of the EIA standard, and >=1000 capacity-resistance product is obtained, and practically used as a dielectric for the laminated capacitor with a dielectric layer having <=20mum thickness. |
