PURPOSE:To prevent a seat belt from being pulled rearward wherein the seat belt is introduced to the rear door side through the shoulder of a passenger on the front seat at the outer side of a car, by providing an assist means for aiding the withdrawal of the seat belt from a retractor when the rear door is opened. CONSTITUTION:A shoulder belt part 1b of a seat belt device of a 4-door pillarless hard top car extends obliquely upward from an engaging part of an engaging member 4 inserted into a seat belt 1 with a buckle 5 provided on the side of a front seat 2 inside of a compartment to be taken up through the seat side guide member 6 by a retractor 9 provided in a rear door. Then, a plurality of teeth are provided on the bottom of a belt inserting hole 6a in the guide member 6 to provided a tooth face 6c, while a plurality of teeth extending widthwise over a predetermined length are provided on the lower surface of the seat belt 1 to provide a tooth face 1a so that the seat belt 1 can be smoothly drawn out of the retractor 9 by engagement of both tooth faces 1a, 6c with each other when the rear door 7 is opened. |
