PURPOSE:To prevent unexpected accident due to the leak of a cauterizing current without fail by comparing both a current to flow to a patient electrode and a current to leak to a scope with a current to flow to a processor electrode. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency electric scalpel device 1 is equipped with an A connector 2 for activation, an S connector 3 for scope and a P connector 4 for patient. Out of a high frequency signal, the direct current component of a current IA to flow to the A connector 2 is blocked by an A capacitor 34 and the size of the IA is detected by an A current sensor 35 and transmitted to a level detecting and comparing circuit 36. Samely, an S capacitor 37 blocks a current IS to flow to the S connector 3 out of the high frequency signal and a P capacitor 39 blocks the direct current component of a current IP to flow to the P connector 4. Then, the sizes of the currents IS and IP are detected by respective current sensors 38 and 40 and transmitted to the level detecting and comparing circuit 36. In the level detecting and comparing circuit 36, the levels of these respective currents are compared and a compared result is transmitted to an output control circuit 31. In the output control circuit 31, the control of a high frequency output is executed based on the compared result. |
