PURPOSE:To compute and display the accurate remaining amount of toner by setting the substantial quantity of forms based upon forms of specific size according to the output information of a form deciding means which decides the size of forms and computing and displaying the remaining amount of toner based upon integral count information. CONSTITUTION:The form decision means 5 which decides the size of forms according to the output signal of the paper feed detecting sensor 1 is provided between a paper feeding detection sensor 1 and an integral counting means 2. Further, this device is equipped with a substantial quantity arithmetic means 6 which sets the substantial quantity based upon the forms of specific size according to the output information of the form decision means 5 and sends its quantity information to the integral counting means 2. Here, the remaining amount of toner is computed from the quantity information stored in a nonvolatile memory 3 for storing the output information of the integral counting means 2 and then displayed on a display means 4. Consequently, the remaining amount of toner is displayed with high accuracy. |
