<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a side slip and a lateral turning of a vehicle when a driver operates a steering wheel quickly by controlling the rotation of a steering motor to limit the rotation of a steering shaft corresponding to vehicle speed, steering angle or vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION:Signals from a speed sensor 11, a steering angle sensor 12 and a steering force sensor 13 are calculated in an electronic control unit 10 to determine righting moment corresponding to vehicle speed V, steering angle thetaand steering force F and also power assisting force corresponding to the vehicle speed V, the steering angle theta and a steering force F are determined to drive and control a pteering motor 9. The righting moment and the power assinting force are thereby applied to a steering shaft. And thus, the righting moment is controlled to be applied to it so that a side slip and a lateral turning of the vehicle can be prevented in case that a driver operates a steering wheel quickly.</p> |
