The device consists of a baseplate connected to the wheel- carrier plate of the doors of the lift car, carrying shafts for two upper toothed sectors and a further two lower sectors in mutual engagement and in articulation with vertical movement bars, which toothed sectors have an arm equipped with a sleeve which makes contact with a cam of the locking lever with rotary drive actuation, said bars being connected to traction springs in the downward direction and which, by means of lateral displacement, place pressure on wheels mounted on the lever for locking the landing doors and connected to a closed locking contact. This device is used for opening and closing, together, the car and landing doors of the lift in normal operation, and for manual opening from the inside of the car when there is a lack of electrical fluid. <IMAGE>
