PURPOSE:To obtain the electrophotographic sensitive body having absorption sensitivity in an 800nm wavelength region by incorporating a metal phthalocyanine compd. having a specific structure as a charge generating material into the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The metal phthalocyanine compd. expressed by formula I is incorporated as the charge generating material into the photosensitive body. In formula I, M denotes a metal, metal oxide or metal halide; R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, and R<4> respectively independently denote an alkyl group, alkoxy group, aryl group, arylthio group or alkylsilyl group; n<1>, n<2>, n<3>, and n<4> respectively independently denote 1 to 4 integer. The metal phthalocyanine compd. expressed by formula I itself has absorption at about 800nm which is the oscillation wavelength of a semiconductor laser. The electrophotographic sensitive body which responds to a semiconductor laser is obtd. in this way without executing the treatment by a shifting agent. |
