The air conditioner combines spent and fresh air suction with a heater, whose exhaust gases are added to the spent air flow for a heat exchange with the fresh air. There are two fans, one for the spent air-exhaust mixt. and one for the fresh air. The two fan motors (55,56) are connected to the operating voltage (L,N) by switches (18,19). The switches are actuated by a differential pressure generator only when the spent air-exhaust gas different over the heat exchanger (6) exceeds a lower limit, but is below a highest permissible limit. Pref. the two used pressure generators are actuated by a sewer unit, whose switch (61) is in parallel with a series connection (70,67) of two switches.
