4-Amino-5-chloro-N-(2-diethylamino)ethyl-2-(substd. alkoxy)benzamide antiemetics of formula (I) and their acid addn. salts contain a water miscible hydroxylic organic solvent or a water soluble polyhydric alcohol of sugar, as a stabilizing agent, which decreases the dielectric constant of the soln. In (I), R1, R2 and R3 are each H or methyl; R4 is H, C1-4 alkyl or phenyl. The agent is ethanol, propylene glycol, glycerol or mannitol.
