PURPOSE:To produce a polyurethane foam without degrading the hardness, resilience, and compression set properties, yet maintaining the curing properties during foam molding by reacting a polyol having a low by-product content with a polyisocyanate in the presence of a blowing agent, a foam stabilizer, a catalyst, etc. CONSTITUTION:A polyurethane foam is produced by reacting a polyol having a hydroxyl value of 34-60 and a degree of total unsaturation of 0.03 or lower with a polyisocyanate in the presence of a blowing agent, a foam stabilizer, a catalyst, and other additives. By using said polyol which has a by-product content (i.e., a degree of unsaturation) lower than that of a conventional polyol, problems with a conventional foam, such as degradation of hardness, resilience, and compression set properties as well as of the curing properties during foam molding, can be solved. |
