PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous detection and dispense with adjustment by detecting a human body or the like with mobile detection type ultrasonic detectors for detecting a human body or the like installed on both sides of a door and detecting the vicinity of the door with a presence detection type ultrasonic detector to control the opening or closing of the door. CONSTITUTION:Doppler type ultrasonic detectors 1a and 1b are installed on both sides of a door 8 respectively, and a pulse type ultrasonic detector 1c is fitted near the transom of the door 8. When a human body enters the detection areas 7a and 7b of the detectors 1a and 1b, its movement is detected, and the detected signal is outputted to a judging section 2. The ultrasonic detectors 1a and 1b are a Doppler type and a mobile detection type, thus even if an object to be detected exists in the detection area, it can not be detected unless it moves. When the door is closed, the mobile detection type detectors stop the detecting operation while the door is operated, thus the opening or closing of the door is not detected by mistake. |
