PURPOSE:To obtain the title carbon black which is improved in a dispersion rate and dispersion stability in kneading with a vehicle without destroying granules during handling by adapting said carbon black so that a specified relationship may hold between the weight per granule retained on a specified sieve and the DBP absorption. CONSTITUTION:Granular carbon black for coloring is obtained by adapting said carbon black so that the relationship of the formula may hold between the weight per granule [W(mg/granule)] retained on a sieve of a mesh of 1000mum and the DBP absorption (ml/100g). The obtained carbon black is not powdered during handling, and can realize very good dispersion rate and dispersion stability in kneading with a vehicle. Therefore it can always exhibit excellent workability and dispersibility without fail as a coloring pigment for a printing ink, a coating material or a plastic. |
