<p>PURPOSE:To reduce current consumption by performing the intermittent control of a pre-charge current on a memory cell in a read-only memory pre-charged synchronizing with a clock. CONSTITUTION:In the read-only memory pre-charged synchronizing with the clock, transfer gates 3-5 which perform the intermittent control of the pre-charge current on the memory cell 6 are inserted between a power source line 1 and a pre-charge circuit 2. Thereby, since the pre-charge current flows only on the memory cell 6 of a bit which sets select terminals 10-12 at HI levels, no pre-charge current flows on a nonuse bit when pre-charge is performed synchronizing with the clock. In such a way, it is possible to reduce the current consumption.</p> |
