NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I (R1 is H, halogen, lower alkyl, carboxyl, etc.; n is 1 or 2; R2 is H or lower alkyl; R3 is hydroxy, lower alkoxy, amino, pyrrolidyl, etc.). EXAMPLE:1-Butyn-3-yl orthochlorobenzylsulfonylaminoacetic amide. USE:A herbicide showing widely herbicidal activity against paddy field weeds such as Deccan grass or bulrush and plowed field weeds such as large crab-grass and green foxtail and having low toxicity to human and animals and fishes and safety because of no phytotoxicity to useful crops such as paddy rice plant, soybeans, maize, etc. PREPARATION:A sulfonamide derivative shown by formula II is reacted with an alkenyl halide shown by formula III (X is halogen) in the presence of an acid binder (e.g., NaOH) in a solvent such as dimethylformamide at room temperature boiling temperature of the solvent to give a compound shown by formula I. |
