The present invention concerns a reinforcement for masonry beams having successively arranged bricks 2 with grooves 3 for at least one reinforcement member 4 which is cast into the grooves 3 and extends along the masonry beam 1. To improve the cooperation between the masonry beam and the brickwork situated above this, the reinforcement member 4 is placed in the grooves 3 with its upper sections 7 projecting upwards from these, the said upper sections 7 projecting upwards at a number of points along the masonry beam 1 or extending along the latter, the upper sections 7 being accommodated in a horizontal bed joint 8 between the masonry beam 1 and brickwork 6 located above the latter. <IMAGE> |
