<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a cuff by interrupting the processing relating to the measurement of blood pressure when a judge means judges that the cuff is not wound around the arm of an examinee. CONSTITUTION:For example, when a cuff 1 is detached during pressurization in a pressurizing control mode, the pressure in the cuff 1 falls instantaneously and, when a pump 3 becomes a full speed state, a CPU 5 confirms the detachment of the cuff 1 when the difference between the cuff pressure during pressurization detected by a pressure sensor 6 and the cuff pressure before 2sec by a timer 21 is '1mmHg' or lower. When the time required before the pressure of the cuff 1 reaches 20mmHg becomes '10sec' or more during a period when the cuff 1 is pressurized from measuring start indication by a SW 20, the CPU 15 confirms the 'the detachment of the cuff' and stops the pump 3 when the full speed state of the pump 3 is continued for 5sec to open a quick discharge valve 4. Since the abnormal pressurization of the cuff is eliminated, the damage of the cuff can be prevented.</p> |
